We thought it would be fun to kick off our blog with a little more of an informal Q & A with Flowertown's veterinarians. We asked each of them the same 9 questions and had them give us their honest answer. We know you can read their bios, but we were hoping these questions would get to the real "meat and potatoes" of who they really are. We will start with Dr. Davis:
What's your favorite part of being a veterinarian?
I have to name just one? I'd say 1.) getting to be an integral part my clients' lives by caring for their pets throughout their lifetime and 2.) the rewarding feeling of watching a sick animal make a turnaround via something I am able to do for them.
What's your least favorite?
The fact that, because of the lack of widespread health insurance for pets, finances often get in the way of owners being able to pursue treatment for their loved ones. Oh also, when strangers try to show me their rashes or random ailments.
What's your favorite thing to do in your free time?
What is "free time"?
What is your favorite sports team?
Hands down, my St. Louis Cardinals
What is your favorite snack?
Chocolate lucky charms and barbecue potato chips (not necessarily together)
You are banished to a deserted island and can only take three things with you, what would they be? (and by the way, there is no phone service on the island)
Mountain Dew (don't tell my wife)
A boat? :)
What is the coolest thing you've ever done?
Took a ride in a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara wildlife reserve in Kenya. Spectalular!
What's currently at the top of your bucket-list?
Hanging out with the penguins in Antarctica!
If you could be any animal, which would you choose?
That's easy, a hound dog owned by my wife. I would get ALL the room in the bed, all the treats I could eat, and more attention than she gives her husband :)
