Dr. Jerry Dorsam
Dr. Dorsam has more than thirty years experience as a veterinarian, graduating from
Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He spent nearly twenty years in
western N.C. in his own equine-small animal practice. He and his family moved to the
Charleston area in 2001. Dr. Dorsam purchased Flowertown Animal Hospital in 2006. He is
married to his love-of-his-life, Kathy, and, between them, they have four grown children. His
interests, besides his obsession with clinical medicine, include any activity involving the
out-of-doors (kayaking, fly fishing, mountain biking). He is also actively involved in
clinical research, what he refers to as a "volunteer observationist."
Dr. Amy Kerley
Dr. Amy Kerley is originally from Summerville and is excited to return to the area. She graduated with an undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 2005. She continued her studies at The University of Georgia and graduated with her veterinary degree in 2009. After graduation she practiced in Lexington, Kentucky as a small animal practitioner before returning home to South Carolina. She is married to a great husband, Kevin, and they are expecting their first child in the fall. The rest of their family includes a Doberman Pinscher, Weimaraner mix, Lab mix, 2 cats and a horse. Her veterinary interests include neurology, internal medicine and behavior. Despite her interests, she feels that the best part of her job is developing a strong relationship with her clients through compassionate and truly heart felt care for her patients.

like Robin. She is married to Jason and has two babies, Xander and Owen. Holly is as
obsessed with pets as Robin is, having two dogs and six cats. It's hard for her to turn away
from a homeless dog or cat. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and
her children. She loves to bake, listen to good music, and enjoy good movies and books.
Holly's role at FAH involves in-hospital patient care and diagnostic endoscopy.

Teresa Hart
Teresa has been in the veterinary field since 2001 and specializes in client services. She has a true weakness for any dog with a pink nose, but yellow Labrador Retrievers are her favorite. She lost her true love "Butterscotch" to cancer and it has taken two years for her to adopt another yellow lab - Lilly. Teresa also has a chocolate dappled Dachshund, named Cami (pink nose!!). Teresa has lived in the Charleston area her whole life and is now engaged to the man of her dreams. She loves the beach, boating, and chilling with her friends. She loves to "chill" by listening to good music and Edwin McCain, of Greenville, S.C., is her fav! Her childhood friend is Robin; they are like sisters - two peas in a pod. It's a wonder that Teresa and Robin survived their earlier days of '80s "big hair" and partying. Teresa says that she ia a plain and simple kinda gal. She says that working here at Flowertown is like no other practice that she has ever worked - "we genuinely care about each other, our clients, and their pets." Teresa welcomes you to our little family and says - Come see us!

Kori Vowell
Kori grew up in Creedmoor, N.C. She is the very proud mother of her beautiful little boy, Elijah. She says that Elijah is her whole world outside of work and school. Kori is attending Trident Technical College for her associate's degree in Science and Veterinary Technology. Kori has always wanted to work with animals, in some way, all of her life. Kori also serves in the Air Force as a reservist.
She enjoys hanging out with Elijah playing outside, watching movies - doing anything that Elijah wants to do. You will see Kori a lot of the time at the front desk, but she very much enjoys working hands-on with the patients. Please welcome her the next time you are in!
