Comfortis: for Fleas

Eli Lilly has hit a "grand slam" with their new flea pill, Comfortis. This new flea product is a 30-day flea pill, killing fleas throughout the thirty day period. Spinosad, the active ingredient in the flea tablet, works on the flea's nervous system causing involuntary muscle contracture and paralysis, leading to death of the flea. Spinosad, while being extremely toxic to the flea, is harmless for all mammals.

The distinct advantage for Comfortis is that there is no mess after administering, like many of the topicals on the market today. Pets can be bathed before and after, and can be played with by your children without risk of coming in contact with the medication. The disadvantage for Comfortis is that it does not work on ticks.

We are very pleased with Comfortis and its ability to help our patients become flea-free in a very short period of time. This product is available in a 6-month supply box, or you may choose to purchase one-month’s supply at a time.

Please visit the Comfortis website for more information.
